BOKO HARAM ON RAMPAGE, 13 KILLED, OTHERS INJURED IN SEPARATE ATTACKS ON BORNO COMMUNITIES

NO fewer than 13 people including a female suicide bomber were killed in separate Boko Haram attacks in communities of Kwabula, Kondori, Ali Gambori and Damboa villages of Askira-Uba, Konduga, Nganzai and Damboa Local Government Areas of Borno state. Reliable Sources have informed.
In Kwabula of Askira-Uba Local Government Area, two civilians were killed when suspected members of Boko Haram sect, a factional group to Mohammed Shekau’s leadership invaded the village on 30th May, 2020, but due to lack of telecommunications network delayed information on the attack.
Kwabula is just 8km away from Uba main town.
Likewise, a female suicide bomber on Sunday 31st May, 2020 infiltrated part of Konduga Local Government Area and detonated her Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) killing herself with injuring of three civilians. Reliable Sources informed our Correspondent exclusively.
Also, three people were killed yesterday in Kondori village of Konduga LGA by suspected terrorists, leaving scores injured, while the luckiest ones fled into Jakana town  and Maiduguri for safety on Monday evening.
Kondori is about 30km drive from Maiduguri, the state capital and a stone throw to Jakana town located on the busiest Maiduguri-Damaturi-Kano road.
The Source revealed that “on the 30th May 2020, at 11:45pm armed terrorists suspected to be from Shekau’s faction stormed Kwabula village of Askira- Uba LGA.
“The terrorists came in large number with Four (4) gun trucks, enclose the main entrance of the village and commencing firing at midst of the village.
” During the attack, many residents fled into surrounding mountains for safety, unfortunately, two (2) civilians were killed and many others sustained various degree of injuries without confrontation”.
Another Source said,  “On 31st, May 2020, a lone female suicide bomber infiltrated Part of Konduga LGA at about 9:30pm and detonated her IEDs, killing herself with injuring of three civilians.”
He said, “Information received indicates that on the 30th May 2020, at 11:45hrs, Askira Uba LGA-Kwabulaa area OAG operatives attack the neighborhood was attacked by terrorists, in which, two (2) civilians were killed and many others sustained degree of casualties.
Likewise, on 31st June, 2020 at about 21:30hrs, information received indicates that a female Body-Born Improvised Explosive Device (BBIED) carrier infiltrated the residential area in the town of Konduga and detonated her device, injuring at least three (3) civilians.
“Unfortunately, one of the 3 victim critically injured had died in a hospital while receiving treatment today (Monday).”
“In a related development, armed terrorists allegedly killed four (4) people in Damboa Local Government Area on Monday. The victims went to farm at the outskirts of Damboa town this morning.
“Their corpses were brought to Damboa town. The authorities are reported to have advised residents to avoid farming and firewood business for now.
Similarly on Monday, a child at Muna IDPs camp in Maiduguri metropolis lost his life when playing with a collected scrap metals brought in from elsewhere suspected to be IEDs which exploded inside the camp with injuring of two others.
The source said, ” Information indicates that an unidentified explosive device suspected to be an UneXploded Ordinance (UXO) caused the explosion. Reportedly, a child collected scrap metals elsewhere and took them to the title IDP camp. While in the process of sorting them, he accidentally detonated the device. The explosion killed him and injured another two civilians”.
Furthermore, one person was killed by ambushed terrorists in Ali Gambori village located along Monguno-Gajiram road on Monday evening.
Sources said, “As of 1 June 2020, at about 3:15pm, information revealed that some armed terrorists ambushed, stopped several civilian vehicles in transit along Monguno-Gajiram road, asked for identification, searched passengers and their belongings, and subsequently allowed them to continue their journey.
” Unfortunately, the terrorists shot and killed one civilian that attempted to flee and opened fire on other civilian vehicles that refused to stop, but that fleeing vehicle escaped with the occupants without casualty”.
Another Source told our Correspondent that 6 Boko Haram suspected informants were arrested at the main entrance of Maiduguri around Moromti village of the metropolis.
The incident according to the Source took place on same Monday, while attempting to infiltrate the state capital.
The source said, due to this incident, fresh curfew was imposed on Moromti which is opposite 333 military barracks.
“Information as at 1900hrs on Monday morning, security forces arrested 6 Boko Haram informants and logistics suppliers at Njimtilo and Moramti area of Konduga Local Government Area.”
He noted that, already, relative calm has been restored to the affected communities as people are going about their normal businesses.
On the Kondori Boko Haram attacks and the female suicide attack in Konduga town, the Secretary of the Local Government, Alhaji Mai Bukar confirmed the two incidents to our Correspondent on phone Monday.
He said, ” It is unfortunate that communities in my Local Government area came under boko haram attacks within this week.
“As for the Konduga town female suicide attack, I have gone to the community and sympathized with the victims, and immediately, when we finished condoling our victims, I received another distress call that Book Haram invaded Kondori and killed three innocent civilians.
” Presently, all the people in the village have fled to nearby Jakana town for safety, I am now liaising with security operatives to accompany me to Jakana to sympathize with our other victims, especially those who sustained gunshot injuries during the attack”. He said.
All efforts to get confirmation on the other separate attacks from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edet Okon proved abortive at press time.
